This valve is typically utilized in dilute phase pressure or vacuum systems or under atmospheric (gravity) conditions. This valve is similar in design to the Orifice Gate with the exception that the slide plate does not have an orifice (opening). It utilizes dynamically loaded polymer seals (pressures plates) and provides positive material and air flow shut off up to 15 PSIG. The valve is ideally suited for material/pressure shut off when located above a rotary airlock. It is important to note that this valve, when equipped with the optional air purge assembly, can be used in fine, sticky or packable material (not sugar) applications.
