This valve is well suited for handling a granular or pelletized material and is typically utilized under atmospheric (gravity) conditions or, in some instances, it can also be used in a vacuum conveying system. This valve utilizes a seal (UHMW Polyethylene or nylon) located on the topside of the valve slide plate with no additional seal on the underneath side. Roller bearings are located beneath the slide plate to support and guide the plate into position.
