Horizon's Purified Air Vertical Pick-Up extruder hood has been developed, and field proven, to reduce the presence of Salmonella in extruded product. This is achieved by introducing purified air (99.97% DOP efficiency on 0.3 micron particles) to the extruder pick-up point, at a slight positive pressure, prior to being conveyed via a typical negative airlift conveying stream.
